About Molly

I provide support to bilingual (Spanish-English) learners through content vocabulary, applied skills and thorough feedback. I have 14 years of professional teaching, educational menagement and curriculum design experience and a MA in Special Education. I have lived and worked extensively in Latin America and in different US regions.

I love tailoring my services to meet the needs of diverse learners and designing innovative approaches to engaging ALL learners. I am passionate about the inclusion of students with learning differences in mainstream environments with the appropriate supports.

During my gap year between high school and college, I taught in several educational settings with Americorps and enjoyed the energy, passion and unique talent I could bring to each day. As one of the only people who could "get through" to my brother with special needs, I was motivated to make learning accessible to more students who learn differently.

MA in Childhood Education, Special Education and Bilingual Education, CUNY Brooklyn College

7 years teaching experience in Brooklyn, NY (Dual Language Spanish/ English school)

6 years Educational Management experience in the Dominican Republic (working with US high school students in a leadership program)

About the lesson

I will do a needs, interests and strengths assessment in order to tailor my support strategies to meet their needs. I will check in frequently to make sure we are on the same page and maintain ongoing communication in case any questions may arise outside of the feedback perameters.

As the Dominican Republic Country Director for Global Glimpse, I started a Local Youth Ambassadors program to engage local Dominican youth in the learning and service opportunities that were designed to benefit the US students. The Dominican students added a deeper sense of connection through sustained cross-cultural friendships that formed and I was able to hire some of them as they got older. These turned out to be some of our best and most loyal staff!
