About Manuel

Spanish is my first language so I am very knowledgeable in the subject and can provide a cultural insight into places where spanish is spoken. Also, by having studied several other languages (English, French and German) I have a strong intuition regarding how to approach hard subjects such as verb conjugation, vocab memorization and pronunciation.

Regarding music, this is my greatest and it has been a part of my life since I was 4. I majored in this subject at TCU, I play the violin, and I am able to tutor in topics such as music theory, music history, counterpoint and, of course, violin playing.

In my free time I enjoy reading and dancing salsa music :)

I started teaching by volunteering as a violin teacher at a non-profit which focuses on providing music education to young artists from ages 5-18.

I am a Colombian violinist and music and languages have both played a big role in my life. I have spent a great deal of time studying foreign languages (English, French and German) and I majored in Music at Texas Christian University, where I graduated Summa cum Laude.

About the lesson

I like to get to know my student the best I can before starting the teaching process. I ask questions in order to understand the goals and motivations driving my student to be able to adapt as best as possible to every individual.

I have worked with students ranging from middle school to undergraduate age. I am able to tutor students at any ability level withing the subject I specialize in.

Look for someone who is willing to listen to you. The best teachers have the patience and motivation to listen to their student in order to understand how to guide them to the best of their abilities.
