I've been tutored by Karen for about 1.5 years now and I've noticed a big improvement in my Spanish. Before starting lessons with Karen, I was just trying to teach myself Spanish using workbooks and some Spanish language CD's. However, it's really difficult to learn how to have a conversation just using workbooks, so I signed up for tutoring with Karen. Karen is very patient and is able to explain concepts really well. She knows Spanish grammar well and is able to explain it to the student so they can understand it. She's flexible with her scheduling and accommodating what the student wishes to study. I've practiced my pronunciation, speaking, and reading skills, as well as going over grammar concepts.
