About Yvette

Having grown up in the hispanic culture, I grew up with a love and passion of teaching all things hispanic (inlcuding language) to those around me. Meaning I love to teach Spanish because I love the culture! From having a friendly conversation with your Spanish speaking neighbor to translating/speaking Spanish in your work place, I'll help you grow in confidence of your capabilities and set you up for success in any setting.

My method of teaching Spanish includes current and real world application to be able to give you a step stool into any real and applicable scenerios you might be in. We'll range from informal to formal spanish specifically looking into cultural context to apply to your own use. I like to make lessons fun, interactive, and provide you with resources to keep you practicing outside the tutoring sessions if you so choose.

I'm not only a native Spanish speaker, but also have studied and recieved a BA in Spanish Language and Culture from Washington State University. I am currently pursuing higher education to recieve a Masters in Teaching to continue teaching spanish and other subjects.

I have always loved teaching, I studied it for a little in by undergraduate studies and currently am furthering my higher education through a Masters in Teaching.

About the lesson

I believe in practice, practice, practice. Especially in your trying to learn Spanish fast! We'll touch all subjects of Speaking, Listening and Writing and focus on the areas you are most intrested to learn in.

I have worked with elementary level kids to novice/intermedate/advanced adults
