About Jose

I love to be in the US, but I also love my home country, Mexico, and I'm eager to help students to improve their Spanish speaking abilities and to share the Latin American culture. I like to use real life situations to learn a language. Espero poder platicar contigo pronto.

I've been involved in my children's school since they were in Kindergarten and I started giving soccer clinics, then they asked me to help with other sports.

I am a native speaker and father of two children (11 and 8 y/o). My undergraduate degree is in International Business, from Monterrey Tech in Mexico City, and I have a Master in Sports Administration, from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. I have experience coaching children from K to 5G in different sports like soccer, basketball, x-country, track & field.

About the lesson

I ask why they want to learn Spanish and what they need help with. Then we can set objectives for each session or make a plan for a series of sessions.

Children from Pk4 to 4th Grade.

When you want help to learn a different language is always a good advice to look for someone that is native speaker of that other language because you can learn both the formal and casual way to speak. Just like you, they struggled when learned a second language.

The current situation forcing everyone to be at home and see how children can adopt a new form of learning and interact with their classmates using many resources, is something that will mark their academic journey forever and teach us, the adults, to be more flexible and appreciate life in a different way.
