I got started teaching recently when I graduated from NYU. My first client was one of my acting teachers that wanted to brush up his Spanish as much as possible before heading to Uruguay on a business trip. I fell in love with teaching.
I studied languages at the University of Puerto Rico and I have a Masters Degree in Acting from the NYU Tisch School of the Arts.

I like to get to know my students and their goals first before anything. I'm curious about why they want to learn or get better at a language. I want to know where they're from, what are their likes and really get a sense of who they are. Then, we design a realistic and easy program that we both think will be best for them. I try to include the client as much as possible.
Be patient. Learning a new skill takes time and a lot of mistakes. Be gentle with yourself as often progress comes slowly. Have fun! Learning should be a great experience, not something you dread. Enjoy and always let your teacher know your needs and goals.

I try to be fair with my prices as I know how expensive and overwhelming living in New York City can be. I usually charge $45 for a 1-hour lesson. I don't charge extra if we go over an hour.
