About Laura
I am a current CA fully certified bilingual teacher who has made a success of engaging and motivating students to succeed. With decades of teaching expertise, I will help your child with reading, comprehension, vocabulary development, writing, math (common core!), social studies, and science, in a fun and personalized way. I have specializations in English and Spanish, have experience working with struggling students, and am certified to teach GATE (gifted and talented) students.
I love engaging and motivating students and to watch their love of learning progress, as they become self motivated students and lifelong learners. When this is accomplished during the primary school years, students tend to become better students and independent learners.
CA BCLAD teaching credential -Dual language and Spanish immersion teacher.

First I will chat with a new student and parents to find out the student's learning style so I am able to tailor the tutoring sessions to the student's style and needs. I will do ongoing evaluations as the sessions progress, in order to adapt them to the specific learning needs of the student.

Ms. Laura is a really skilled teacher. She combines years of teaching experience with patience and kindness and this combination really works well for my son Skye. She deepens his skills and improves his confidence. We are very happy working with her.
She is so sweet with kids ! My 7 year was struggling reading and in about 1 week I saw the big difference! She’s getting better and better every time she has her lessons with Ms Luara! She’s really patient too which is. A big bonus! Totally recommend her! She’s great!
