About Vladimir
Bilingual and passionate native Spanish speaker professor with excellent communication skills demonstrated by 15 years of teaching experience in 3 different countries (Peru, USA and China). I have experience teaching and tutoring diverse populations, levels and ages.
In my classes I always create a positive learning environment, where the students can feel confident to use the new language.
I am graduated in communications, but also I have an specialization in teaching Spanish to speakers the other languages and a Master degree in Spanish language and culture.
Along my teaching career I got different certificationes too: Advanced Placement certificate (AP) in Spanish language and culture, International evaluation service of the Spanish language (SIELE) and Spanish for successful communication in healthcare settings.
One of the many reasons I enjoy teaching Spanish is the unique opportunity that it presents for students to be exposed to new ways of thinking and potential challenges to stereotypes or misconceptions about other cultures that they may have. I am passionate about my culture and heritage and enjoy teaching not just the grammar and language content, but also sharing my experiences growing up and living in another culture. I believe that incorporating grammar and lexical instruction within a cultural context that interests them is the best way to stimulate their personal involvement in the language.
I believe that learning the Spanish language provides an opportunity for students to grow academically as well as promoting cultural diversity and community values.
I have 13 years teaching experience (8 like Spanish teacher) in three different countries (Peru, USA, China) with diverse students and population.
Master in Spanish Language and Culture - University of Salamanca. Spain
Graduate Certificate: Teaching Spanish to Speakers the other language - Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
Bachelor of Arts in Communications - University of Lima. Peru.
Graduate Certificate: Advancement Placement (AP) Spanish Language and Culture - University of Central Florida.
Graduate Certificate: International Evaluation Service of the Spanish Language (SIELE) - Cervantes Institute. Madrid, Spain.

I offer a free 20 minutes free meeting to basically know the students needs and expectations. After that; since my first class, I incorporate grammar and lexical instruction within a cultural context to stimulate their personal involvement in the language.
My classroom management philosophy is to meet students where they are at, and to stimulate an interest in the material by allowing them to work on cultural projects in topics about Spanish culture that interest them.
I have worked with diferent students and populations.
Elementary, middle, high school and college students. And also adult people and seniors.
