About Erin
Experienced elementary and middle school special education teacher with expertise in teaching reading and math concepts in as many ways as it takes for your child to understand them!
BS.Ed and MS.Ed from Kansas State University
A patient yet determined person by nature, I find great joy and accomplishment in finding ways to connect kids with concepts that they're struggling with. If plans A, B, and C don't work, it is my job to find plan D! Seeing struggling students become more confident in themselves when they begin to understand things that come easier to their peers fuels my work day in and day out.
I always thought I wanted to be a nurse but found that I wasn't interested in science as much as human and child development. I've used my curiosity for learning about how kids' minds develop to learn how to best reach my students who have learning disabilities.
Bachelors in Elementary Education and Masters in K-6 Special Education, both from Kansas State University. Currently in my 4th year of teaching.

My first session is typically pretty informal and dependent on age level. Expect me to spend time getting to know your child and establishing a positive relationship with them while informally assessing their academic strengths and weaknesses.
Students with learning disabilities such as ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dysgraphia. I also have experience with students with Autism, Oppositinal Defiant Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, CHARGE Syndrome, and Traumatic Brain Injuries.
Shop for skills, but perhaps more importantly, shop for personality. You will learn more from someone you enjoy working with!
Recently, I have taken up the hobbies of watercoloring and paddle boarding and am obsessed with both!
