About Marion
I'm here to help students cultivate a general understanding in the area or areas they struggle in. I am a certified special education teacher with a certificate in Early Childhood to 12th grade. I was a paraprofessional with artistic children for 5 years before becoming an inclusion teacher (helping students with learning disabilities in the general ed classroon) in math, english, and social studies. My plan is to be patient as we build understanding.
I started out as a teachers aid (paraprofessional) right after high school. I had a cousin who was a principal at a middle school here in Texas.

My process for working with a new student is to first listen to achieve and understanding where they need help. I then allow the student to show or tell me what they know, and assist them going forward with their area of struggle. i.e. practice problems, anwsering questions, modeling, and repetition.
Honestly, I have worked with all type of students. Students with learning disabilites to those who just need a little extra practice and encouragement.
A recent event that I'm fond of is my two year old and I was out side playing in the cul-de-sec, and he saw a white crane flying in the sky. He yells out innocently " A pterodacyl " .
