About Emily
I am a professional violinist who has been teaching for over 15 years. I recently relocated from the Bay Area of California to beautiful Brattleboro, Vermont where I am setting up a home music studio. In the past I have taught private lessons, chamber coachings and small orchestras at programs including Crowden School of Music, Oakland School for the Arts and the El Sistema program Sound Minds.
I enjoy working with beginners through advanced students, ages 6 and up. I use a mix of Suzuki repertoire and other methods geared towards each student's interest. I encorporate music theory, practice techniques and lots of music reading into violin lessons.
