About Brooke
Hi everyone, I’m Brooke Banks, a violinist and content creator from Arizona. I began playing the violin at the age of six (2006) and joined a fiddlers group in 3rd grade(2008). Throughout my school years, I played in both chamber and symphonic orchestras up until my senior year of high school (graduated in 2018). My training includes all the Suzuki books up to Suzuki Violin Book 6, and I had the privilege of performing with the East Valley Youth Symphony for 3-4 years. Additionally, I performed at various local events in Flagstaff.
Working with me is a fun and engaging experience. I believe in making learning enjoyable and tailored to each student's unique style and pace. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I'll be there to guide and support you every step of the way. My classical training involved Essential Elements and Suzuki books, and I had the opportunity to explore a diverse repertoire, including pop culture, movie scores, cultural pieces, and mariachi music.
I’ll do an excellent job because, with over 18 years of experience and counting, I deeply understand the importance of technique. However, I believe that truly connecting with the music and expressing one's emotions is paramount. Music has always been my sanctuary, and I aspire to help others find their own safe spaces through the power and magic of music. I’m dedicated to helping you achieve your musical goals and making our lessons a highlight of your week!
