About Farhan

I am an enthusiastic part-time private tutor with a passion for teaching and developing students studying physics and mathematics. My style involves a ground-up approach where I support students in building a conceptual understanding of topics before tackling exam questions. I am keen believer learning should be an enjoyable process, testing how far your understanding goes. I teach Physics and Maths GCSE/A-Level and have over 5 years of experience in this. I have previously tutored a range of students including helping a student go from a grade 5 to 9 in Physics GCSE and another student achieve full marks in their Maths A-Level. Having achieved 11 A*s at GCSE, 3 A*s at A-Level, and a First Class Physics degree at Imperial College alongside my experience as a Management Consultant; I can help you build a deep knowledge of your subject which can be applied outside of just the context of your qualification.

About the lesson

I pride myself on supporting students build a deep understanding of topics, not just memorising facts. My previous students have been able to approach questions by using the conceptual understanding they have built up and hence tackle more complex questions. I believe arming students with an approach to independent study and a workplan for their studies is as important as lessons and hence I help develop these. I stay in close contact with parents to ensure together we drive the results you are aspiring towards.
