Hi, I’m Laura!

I am a UK-trained secondary English specialist with over a decade of experience teaching in England (Years 7–13) and internationally in Istanbul and Thailand. My background allows me to bring high academic standards to my tutoring, helping students develop the resilience needed to navigate complex literature and master sophisticated writing.

Now based in Calgary, I work with students of all ages to turn academic challenges into tangible progress. While my teaching style is warm and encouraging, it is deeply structured; I ensure every lesson is strategically designed to meet specific goals while building a genuine sense of confidence. My approach is fueled by my own love for reading, travel, and exploring new cultures - passions that inspire the curiosity and creative thinking I bring to every session.
