About Muneeb
As a recent First Class Masters graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my role as a math tutor. Prior to pursuing my degree, I worked as a maths teaching assistant in a secondary school, where I supported students aged 14-18 across different sets, including GCSE resit classes and AS-Level students facing difficulties.
I take pride in my flexible teaching approach, adapting to the unique needs and learning styles of each student. By exploring various methods and approaches, I have successfully assisted numerous students in raising their grades by over two grade levels. This accomplishment is particularly notable with AS-Level students who faced challenges in maths. Through targeted support and personalized instruction, I have witnessed their remarkable progress and growth.
Outside of academia, I am an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying activities such as basketball, cricket (having previously played for Lancashire), and climbing. As a high-performance athlete, I have honed qualities of discipline, determination, and resilience, which I incorporate into my teaching practice. Just as achieving success in both mathematics and sports requires setting clear objectives, breaking them down into manageable steps, and persevering through obstacles, I strive to instill these same qualities in my students. By doing so, I not only help them improve their maths skills, but also develop self-assurance and persistence.
