About Jessica
I’m a first-year Psychology student at the University of Warwick. My academic journey has taught me that the difference between 'stuck' and 'succeeding' isn't just hard work—it’s about having the right strategies to deconstruct challenging material.
I want to teach because I find it incredibly rewarding to help students navigate that ‘lightbulb moment’ when a difficult concept finally clicks. Having been through the stress of GCSEs and university exams myself, I know how to break down intimidating topics into manageable, logical steps.
I’m patient, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping you move beyond rote memorisation to develop the critical thinking skills you need. My goal is to make your subjects feel less like a chore and more like a challenge you’re fully equipped to master.

My approach as a tutor is built on the belief that every student possesses the capacity to excel when given the right tools to bridge the gap between confusion and mastery. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all teaching; instead, I prioritise a personalised, inquiry-based approach that adapts to your unique learning style.
Whether we are breaking down the neural circuits of the amygdala or analysing the nuances of a complex English text, my goal is to strip away the intimidation factor. I translate dense academic material into logical, manageable concepts that make sense to you.
I move beyond passive lecturing. Through the use of structured essay planning, and interactive questioning, I help you build the critical thinking skills necessary to tackle even the most challenging exam questions independently.
I know that the hardest part of any subject is often the 'mental set'—the feeling that you have hit a wall. I work closely with you to identify these blockers, providing not just content knowledge, but the organisational strategies required to approach your studies with confidence.
My goal is not just to help you pass an exam, but to help you develop the academic discipline and curiosity that will serve you well throughout your entire educational journey.
