About Iris
I am a Mathematics tutor with more than 8 years of experience and a MSc in Mathematical Finance. My teaching emphasizes the role of logic, reasoning, and proofs in advanced study. I focus particularly on abstract algebra and topology, guiding students through their complexities with patience. Group theory and ring theory are taught through clear examples that connect structure to function. In topology, I help learners build intuition about spaces and mappings, while practicing rigorous proof writing. My method combines conceptual clarity with consistent practice. I work primarily with university students and those aiming for pure mathematics research. Many of my students gain confidence by seeing how abstract concepts fit into larger frameworks. I encourage them to approach mathematics as both a science and an art of reasoning. Feedback is steady and constructive, ensuring progress at every stage. My goal is to make abstract mathematics accessible without oversimplifying. Over time, students grow more confident in handling deep theoretical material. Together, we build a strong balance of theory and application.

I approach math teaching by focusing on both clarity and application. Lessons cover coding logic, algorithmic thinking, and discrete math with connections to computer science. Computational processes are explained in ways that students can use in problem-solving. Programming analogies are central to my teaching, helping learners link abstract math to coding tasks. This makes ideas less intimidating and more useful. I especially enjoy guiding Architect learners who like building big ideas and Proof Seekers who enjoy detail and logic. Every session is relaxed but carefully structured for growth. Each concept is explained with examples and practice problems. Feedback is constructive and consistent to help learners improve. I encourage students to think critically and express their reasoning. Math becomes a tool that fits into digital life. My goal is to support learners in gaining skill and confidence. Together, we transform math into practical understanding.
