About Iona
I am an artist, writer and filmmaker with extensive experience as both an independent filmmaker/media artist and industry professional. I have worked as Art Director and Technical Advisor on both feature films and TV series in the Film Animation Industry, and have taught at the University level classes in Script Writing, Film Production and Digital Media. My methodology is rooted in academic rigor from where I push the students to tap into their deepest creativity and release their imagination. The aim is that my students not only gain technical excellence but also unleash their artistic voice rooted in deep philosophical understanding.

With a range of technical, aesthetic and philosophical grasp of cinema, I can guide you to make your own film from A to Z on any budget. Build a tight unique story with top-notch editing, bespoke animation and art direction. Throw in lifelike special effects, if needed. Find your voice, craft your style and share your philosophy through film. - 2D, cutout, stop motion animation - VFX, optical printing, motion graphics - Editing techniques, montage - Color and lighting direction, and correction My approach is personal, rigorous and highly creative. Throughout the course, the student proposes and develops a short film idea. In the process of crafting the project, the student learns the basic and advanced techniques needed to carry the film to completion. At the end of each course of study, the student has completed a project that builds their professional artist portfolio. Regardless of the level of the student, the films are crafted to look professional and highly artistic, with as many or few techniques used as the level of the student has dictated.
