About Katia

I myself have recently finished A-Levels, which made me so familiar to what needs to be taught and how information needs to be presented. I am a very hardworking and dedicated person, who is very flexible in ways of teaching. I gained two A's and two A*'s last year in Maths, Media Studies, Art and Russian. I want to pass on my knowledge in these subjects to other students so they can do as well as I did.
I have tutored many GCSE students throughout the span of two years, as well as taught A Level Maths and Media. I personally know what needs to be studied and learnt in order to do very well, which is why I have been very successful in teaching others.
I am very familiar with many exam boards such as Edexcel and Cambridge due to my wide range of knowledge. I find it more beneficial to gain knowledge from numerous exam boards, making me the perfect tutor.
I am open to tutoring and helping anyone in primary to secondary school, who needs assistance and help in maths, media, art, Russian language as well as graphic design.
I also work very well with editing moving image and photography, working on platforms such as Photoshop and Final Cut Pro.
The most important for a student in school is to learn from someone who just experienced what they are going through. I am keen on sharing my secrets, ways and methods in doing amazing on your exams.

About the lesson

I teach in the best methods possible. Instead of just explaining information, I explain the meaning and method behind the information, which is key for the student to understand a certain topic clearer. A very beneficial method I work with is summarizing a topic and pointing out the key features, which helps the student understand it more as well as make it a lot easier when it comes to revising. I also teach with other methods like worksheets and quizzes. What my students found the most helpful is when they prepared questions for me about where they were stuck or what they didn't understand, which we would go through during the lesson.

I also provide the student with extra notes and information which gives more opportunity to achieve the best grade. I also give the student additional material like past papers and worksheets.

I teach primary and secondary school students, with a focus on GCSE's as well as A-Levels in the subjects of Maths, Media studies, Art and Russian. The length of a lesson is completely up to you but I recommend a minimum of one hour.
