About Lilia

Hi, I’m Lilia! I’m a math graduate from the UK currently based in Fremantle, and I enjoy helping students build confidence and understanding in math.

I know that math can often feel overwhelming, especially if there are gaps in earlier topics, so I focus on creating a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My aim is to break things down into simple, manageable steps so students can really understand what they’re doing, rather than just memorizing methods.

I’ve always enjoyed math and problem-solving, and I find it really rewarding to see students go from feeling stuck to feeling more confident in their abilities. I’m patient, approachable, and adapt my teaching style to suit each student.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, which helps me keep a balanced and positive approach to teaching.

About the lesson

I take a structured but flexible approach to tutoring, focusing on building strong foundations and confidence in math.

My lessons are designed to be supportive and interactive. Rather than just showing answers, I guide students step-by-step so they understand how to approach problems themselves. I focus on breaking concepts down into simple steps and encouraging students to explain their thinking, which helps build real understanding.

A typical lesson is around 60 minutes and includes a quick recap, introducing or revisiting a concept, working through examples together, and then giving the student the opportunity to try questions independently with support. I tailor each session to the student’s needs, whether that’s reinforcing core skills or working through more challenging topics.

I have a degree in Mathematics from the UK and have experience supporting students at different levels. My lessons are suitable for students from Year 9 to Year 11, including those who need help catching up, preparing for exams, or improving confidence in math.
