About Henna

I graduated from Central Saint Martins with First Class Honours in BA Fashion Design Womenswear, achieving an average of 97% in both practical and written work. I also studied BA Fine Art and achieved Distinction in Foundation Art & Design, grounding my practice across both disciplines.

My experience includes designing for Tom Ford and Louis Vuitton, with personal work featured in British Vogue, ELLE, Dazed, L'Officiel, Wonderland, Grazia, and i-D.

Alongside private tutoring, I develop my independent brand from my Midlands-based studio, while also running awareness-focused seminars at Central Saint Martins. These seminars encourage open discussion around the realities of the fashion industry, exploring global ethical issues and supporting students in creating work that is critically informed and relevant to today's fashion landscape.

About the lesson

I offer one-to-one mentoring sessions and portfolio development for students applying to, or studying at, leading fashion and art schools—from Foundation through to BA level.

My approach is thoughtful, honest, and tailored to your goals, whether you are starting out or refining existing work. I focus on establishing a clear creative direction and visual language early on, helping you identify and maximise your strengths to produce work that is both visually and conceptually strong, well-resolved, and rooted in authenticity.

Creative Practice (Fashion Design or Fine Art)
- Research development
- Concept development and creative direction
- Fashion design development, including collection building, mannequin work and garment construction
- Fine art development across 2D, 3D and spatial/ installation-based outcomes
- Hand-drawn and digital illustration
- Material exploration and experimentation
- Critical feedback and refinement

Portfolio Development
- Portfolio structure, sequencing, editing and presentation
- Dissertation and written work

University Applications
- Portfolio guidance aligned with course expectations
- Personal statement development
- Interview preparation and mock discussions
