About Theodore
I am an enthusiastic saxophone tutor with 9 years of experience teaching college students. My goal is to make saxophone learning simple, effective, and enjoyable. I focus on clear explanations and practical learning so students feel confident in their progress.
My lessons include tone development, breath support, finger technique, rhythm practice, and expressive performance. I encourage creative learning through improvisation so students feel free and confident while playing. Real-life examples make lessons more engaging and easy to understand.
I use modern learning methods such as recording reviews, play-along sessions, and personalized practice plans. I also teach music theory, ear training, and reading skills to strengthen musical understanding.

My Saxophone teaching approach is centered on understanding, creativity, and consistency. I aim to help students feel confident and motivated throughout their learning journey. Lessons focus on breathing control, embouchure strength, tone production, finger coordination, articulation, and reading music.
Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, melody creation, and exploring different music styles. I act as a mentor by guiding students patiently and helping them build confidence and discipline.
Critical thinking is developed by teaching students how to listen actively, identify mistakes, and apply solutions. Accountability is built through structured practice plans, weekly reviews, and progress assessments. In addition to Saxophone, I teach Music Theory, Sight Reading, Ear Training, and Rhythm Skills.
