About Emerson
I know firsthand that economics can feel like a really intimidating class, especially in first year. I put a lot of pressure on myself when I first took it, and I understand how overwhelming it can seem at the beginning.
What I’ve learned is that once you find the right strategies and get the support you need, it becomes much more manageable—and even enjoyable. That’s something I want to help other students experience.
I’m patient, approachable, and focused on creating a comfortable environment where you can ask questions and build confidence. I take pride in being reliable and professional, and I genuinely care about helping students succeed and feel more confident in their abilities.

My lessons are designed to make economics simple, clear, and easy to apply on exams. I focus on breaking down concepts step-by-step and showing you exactly how to approach the types of questions your professor will ask.
A typical session includes reviewing key concepts, working through practice problems, and going over exam strategies so you know how to earn full marks. I also help you understand graphs, formulas, and common mistakes students often make.
What sets me apart is that I’ve recently taken the course, so I understand what students find confusing and how exams are structured. I performed strongly in the class and can share the specific strategies and techniques that help students stand out. My goal is to help you feel confident and improve your results quickly.
My lessons are ideal for first-year students taking ECON 1100 or similar introductory economics courses.
