I strongly believe fitness should be fun! The aim of the classes I'm offering is to provide kids and families with new and exciting ways to get moving during this pandemic. I also believe in collaborative program construction, so I want to hear from you (and your kids) what you want to get out of these courses. I make sure to focus on adaptability and can offer modifications for all exercises including seated modifications. I also think play and fitness go hand in hand, so I would be happy to design themed workouts to keep young ones engaged (i.e. sea animal themed exercises).
I'm a student at Concordia University and among many other endeavors I am a fitness instructor. I'm passionate about sports and moving my body and am certified as a Yoga Instructor as well as a Level 1 Fitness Instructor in Resistance Band Cardio, although I have experience leading other styles of cardio, strength and stretching classes. I have gained experience leading fitness classes by teaching yoga and fitness to sports teams that I have been involved in, and spent two summers teaching stand up paddleboard yoga. I am currently a fitness instructor at the Sylvan Adams YMYWHA.
