About Smith
I am a professional Drum Tutor with more than 8 years of experience teaching college students. My goal is to help students improve rhythm control, coordination, and performance confidence. My teaching approach is calm, organized, and goal-focused.
I design lessons based on each student’s needs and learning speed. I focus strongly on timing, groove, and technique. I use innovative teaching tools such as rhythm mapping, guided practice routines, and real-music learning. These methods make lessons engaging and easy to understand. Creativity is always encouraged.
Students explore different styles and develop their own drumming voice. I also help them think critically about rhythm choices. As a mentor, I believe learning drums builds discipline and self-confidence. I give regular feedback and encourage consistent practice. My lessons support college students in achieving long-term progress.

As a mentor, I guide students with positive support and clear expectations. Accountability is built through goal setting, regular practice checks, and progress reviews.
In addition to drums, I teach related subjects such as rhythm theory, basic music structure, and effective practice methods. This helps students apply their learning in real music situations.
