About Hanna

I am an internationally trained orchestral musician and a music therapist in training. I received my Bachelor of Music in 2022 from McGill University with a Flute Performance concentration and a double major in psychology. I went on to pursue additional training in flute performance and chamber music at Mälardalens University in Sweden. During this time I performed frequently with the Royal Academic Orchestra in Uppsala, Sweden and performed several chamber concerts in Stockholm and Västerås. I have several years of teaching experience as a flute teacher in the Stockholm area and recently studied Flute Pedagogy for beginners at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. During my undergraduate degree I taught adapted group music lessons for adults with developmental disabilities. Currently I am pursuing my Graduate Diploma in Music Therapy at Concordia University and am completing a concurrent internship offering individual and group music therapy for high school students and adults with intellectual disabilities.

About the lesson

As a teacher, I prioritize fostering a positive and safe learning environment that inspires growth and nurtures creativity. Lesson plans are tailored to my students' individual needs and I take a holistic approach to music learning and can incorporate anything from managing performance anxiety to improvisation. I have experience teaching children and adults, all the way from the beginner to the more advanced student preparing for an audition/competition. I also have experience offering adapted music lessons for children and adults with developmental disabilities. My lessons are for everyone!
