About Connie
I am a native of Luxembourg, where the official languages are French, German, and Luxembourgish. I came to the United States as a foreign exchange student and have been living and teaching here since 1982. I have had my own language school from 1986-2017 where I taught English/ESL, Spanish, French, and German to students from different educational and cultural backgrounds from all over the world. For the past 7 years, I have been tutoring ESL students from middle schools.

For students I administer a needs analysis where I identify level and/ or work / school related language needs. I will cater the lessons to the results of that assessment. I look at learning a language as an inverted pyramid. The foundation has to be very strong in order to build on it. Learning a language is like learning to play basket ball or playing the piano. You must practice and not sit on the side and watch somebody else do it, then think you can be successful.
