About Vanessa
I am a former competitive swimmer with over 8 years of swimming experience and a strong background in teaching children of different ages and skill levels. Having spent many years training and competing, I have developed a strong understanding of proper swimming technique, water safety, and stroke development.
I am a patient and encouraging instructor who wants every swimmer to feel comfortable and confident in the water. I understand that learning to swim can be intimidating, especially for younger or beginner swimmers, so I always create a positive environment where students can learn at their own pace.
I take pride in being reliable, professional, and attentive to each swimmer’s individual needs. Whether your child is learning to swim for the first time or looking to improve their technique, my goal is to help them develop skills they can feel confident using in and around the water.

My approach to swim lessons is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each swimmer’s individual needs and comfort level. I focus on helping swimmers feel safe and confident in the water while developing proper technique and strong swimming skills.
A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up and review of previously learned skills. From there, I introduce or practice skills such as floating, breathing, kicking, different strokes, or water safety depending on the swimmer’s level. I like to break skills down into manageable steps and include games and activities for younger swimmers to keep lessons engaging.
As a former competitive swimmer with over 8 years of experience, I bring both technical swimming knowledge and experience working with children in the water. I understand that every swimmer learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style and pace to suit each individual.
My lessons are suitable for children of all ages and swimming abilities, from complete beginners who are becoming comfortable in the water to more experienced swimmers who want to improve their strokes, technique, and endurance.
