Hello! My name is Abby and I love to teach math! I've been teaching for 8 years now and it has been the most challenging yet rewarding years of my life. I have taught third and fourth grade Math, but can tutor for any elementary grade! In the classroom I follow a method called "I do, We do, You do," where I first model what is expected of my students with an example problem or two (I do). I then have them work in partners or on their own to practice the concept and afterward we go over their work and discuss(We do). Lastly, the You do is where students work independently to show their understanding of the math concept. My tutoring times would follow a very similar structure, but catered for one on one teaching! I love to encourage and inspire young learners to enjoy doing math! I bring a great energy to the table because I genuinely love what I do!
