About Skyp
I am an experienced Drum Tutor with over 7 years of teaching college students. I help learners develop strong technical skills, rhythm control, and musical confidence in a simple and effective way. My teaching style balances structure and creativity. I focus on building strong basics first, then help students explore advanced concepts at a comfortable pace.
Lessons are always adjusted to suit individual learning needs. I use innovative teaching methods such as rhythm breakdowns, guided play-along sessions, and tempo-building exercises. These methods help students understand rhythms clearly and apply them confidently. Creativity is encouraged through beat creation, fill practice, and style exploration.
I also help students develop critical thinking by understanding how rhythm supports melody and performance. As a mentor, I believe in accountability and encouragement. I track progress, give constructive feedback, and help students build confidence. My lessons support college students in reaching their musical goals.

My teaching methodology for drums focuses on understanding, creativity, and discipline. I help students build a strong connection between rhythm and music. Each lesson is designed to support steady improvement and confidence.
I start by teaching fundamentals such as grip, posture, timing, and coordination. Students are encouraged to think critically about how rhythms work in different styles. This approach builds strong musical awareness.
Creativity plays an important role in my teaching. I guide students in creating beats, fills, and rhythm variations. I use real music examples and practice challenges to make learning engaging.
As a mentor, I guide students beyond technique. Accountability is maintained through structured practice plans and regular feedback. Students learn responsibility, focus, and time management.
Along with drums, I also teach related subjects such as basic music theory, tempo management, and effective practice methods. This helps students develop as independent musicians.
