About Kalea
I am currently a senior in college studying Francophone studies and have been learning and speaking French for 10 years. I know personally the struggles of learning a new language, especially French with all of its rules and exceptions and I would love to help anyone going through a similar journey.

My lessons will use practical methods of practice when learning a new language as well as more interactive methods such as listening to music and watching films in French An example of a lesson plan: Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to introduce themselves, ask and answer basic questions, and use common phrases related to daily activities. 1. Warm-Up (10 minutes) Activity: Basic Greetings and Introductions Teacher: "Bonjour! Comment ça va?" Students: Respond with "Ça va bien, merci!" or "Ça va mal." Teacher: Briefly review how to introduce oneself. "Je m'appelle [Name]. Et toi?" Students practice in pairs: "Je m'appelle [Student Name]. Enchanté(e)." 2. Vocabulary Building (15 minutes) Topic: Daily Activities and Common Phrases Teacher: Introduces new vocabulary related to daily activities. Examples: Le matin (morning) Le soir (evening) Manger (to eat) Dormir (to sleep) Aller à l'école (to go to school) Activity: Visual Aids: Flashcards with images and words. Repetition Drill: Students repeat words after the teacher. 3. Grammar Focus (20 minutes) Topic: Present Tense Conjugation of Regular -ER Verbs Teacher: Explains the conjugation pattern for regular -ER verbs. Example Verb: "Parler" (to speak) Je parle Tu parles Il/Elle parle Nous parlons Vous parlez Ils/Elles parlent Activity: Conjugation Practice: Students conjugate other regular -ER verbs (aimer, travailler, écouter) in pairs. Common phrases and expressions used in speaking practice. Q&A Session: Open the floor for any questions students might have. 7. Homework Assignment Assignment: Write a short paragraph about your daily routine using the vocabulary and grammar covered in class. Example: "Le matin, je me réveille à sept heures.
