About Virginia
I love gardening because it is very therapeutic and I get a lot of sunshine. I love reading because it is a great way to get information and entertainment. It actually provides a peaceful vibe. I incorporate vocabulary into read aloud. I pre teach the vocabulary words to students and discuss their meaning by providing brief, student-friendly definitions. It is important to repeat the vocabulary words for correct pronunciation. After that, I let them provide a sentence using the targeted vocabulary words. I expose students to the same words many times to support learning. One of the biggest barriers of reading comprehension is lack of knowledge that's why before we read, I make sure they understand key terms and ideas.
