About Emilie

After my studies in France to become a French teacher for foreigners (Master FLE Université Rennes 2), I taught French at the French school of the University of Rennes (CIREFE) in group classes. I was also in charge of specialized classes in phonetics in a language laboratory in which I worked with the students to improve their pronunctiation in French, using specific technics and exercises depending on the level, the difficulties and the mother tongue of the students.

I then taught French in Argentina at the Alliance Française of Buenos Aires where I was in charge of group classes as well as one-on-one classes. In individual classes I taught French to adults and children, to members of the government, to students preparing French tests (DELF - DALF - TEF - TCF) and in companies.

In Buenos Aires I also worked for the language school LV Studio for which I designed intensive programs for school entrance exams.

As you might have noticed, I love travelling and intercultural exchanges! I myself learned languages while living abroad, English in the United States, Spanish in Latin America, and now Dutch in the Netherlands!

I'm passionate about literature, cinema, gardening, sewing, travelling, dancing (tango and contemporary), and of course, teaching!

I now live in Amsterdam and keep doing this exciting and enriching job as an independant worker.

About the lesson

- Tailor-made classes
- Regular or intensive
- Personalized follow-up between classes. After each class you will receive a sum up of the course and around 1h of homework. ( I can always provide you more if desired).

During the classes we will work on speaking, understanding and writting.
The classes are based on learning the language structures. I also put an emphasis on pronunciation (especially at the beginning), and use a large variety of documents: music, excerpts from French films and documentaries, images, newspapper articles, etc, to work on oral.

- Classes for all levels:
From complete beginners to advanced, from enjoying French as a new language to being able to comunicate fluently and understanding the culture and history of the French-speaking world better.
