I believe in the importance of adapting the classes to the personal goals of each student. Motivation and an agreeable teaching / learning environment seem fundamental to me.
I try to adapt pedagogical resources to the student level, reinforcing grammatical knowledge from authentic materials such as songs, interviews, blogs, artistic elements. All to develop the skills of comprehension and oral production, comprehension and written production, with emphasis on the needs of the student, whether for their studies, for their work or those who learn French for pleasure!
My years of experience as a teacher and my own experience as an apprentice, have made me understand that fear, insecurity and bad previous didactic experiences are the main reasons that block the learning of a foreign language, so I try to make learning not stressful, fun and that students feel the well-being of going beyond their limits.
I am currently a first-year PhD student in French Studies at the University of Western Ontario and I received my Master's degree in Linguistics in 2015. I also did a License in Modern Languages specialized in French, English and Translation and I got my diploma DALF C1 in 2010. I have also have studies in Education and animate pedagogical workshops about using resources as arts, press and advertising in French classes.
I have repeatedly held various teaching positions in French since 2008, which allowed me to confirm my vocation and put into practice a variety of methodologies. Between these experiences: I am working as teaching assistant at UWO since September 2017, dictating French 1910 course. Before that, I worked (2010- 2017) at The University of Los Andes (Venezuela) as a Full Professor of French: (beginner-Advanced), French grammar, French Reading and Writing, French literature and translation. I also worked at The Alliance Francaise for two years (Merida, Venezuela 2008-2010).

Perfect! Yarubi and I, both being graduate students, had difficulty getting our schedules to align, but she was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable when we had lessons. Additionally, despite being quite busy, she gave a lot of attention to my learning interests and preferences. She also gave me a lot of resources and even helped me find another tutor whose schedule was more similar to my own. I'd strongly recommend Yarubi to anyone, particularly if you're a UWO student!
Excellent! She was wonderful she really know French and l was grateful to have her as a tutor. If you are looking for a French look no more. I plan on using her next year thanks you Yarubi
