About Lauren

I am a French Immersion teacher with a Bachelor of Arts in English and French, a Bachelor of Education, a Teaching Certificate for B.C. and a post-grad certificate in Teaching English as an Additional Language. I have been teaching in B.C. for over 7 years and have had experience in both French Immersion and English stream classrooms at the middle school level. Before my teaching experience and during my undergrad studies, I had tutored French for several years from grade 1 to 12.

About the lesson

Language development takes vulnerability, and my lessons will always begin by making that connection and providing a happy and relaxed learning environment. My teaching method is based on starting where the student is at currently and working with them to set a realistic goal for improvement. The student should be involved in the process, so that they can truly feel successful when they reach their desired achievements!

Lessons would be developed with a variety of modalities for language learning, such as through games, guided readings, vocabulary and verb conjugation building, conversational activities, etc.
