I feel so, so lucky that Muriel is my French tutor! Lessons are personalised, structured and varied and I've seen a real improvement in my French vocabulary and grammar since working with Muriel. Muriel is an experienced and intelligent tutor who goes out of her way to make sure that lessons are informative and enjoyable. Lessons are appropriately challenging and the content is always useful.

Muriel tutored my son for his GCSE French course. When he started with her he was unconfident and didn’t enjoy French at all. We have just received his results and he achieved a 9 (A*) in his GCSE!

Muriel has a wonderful, no-nonsense approach that she tailors to different age groups. Younger children do a lot of singing and games, older ones do more traditional class work. Both my children started with her at the age of 3. We are a non-French speaking family but both kids have picked up a lot just from weekly half hour classes with her. My eldest son’s school does compulsory French in year 3 and despite not being the most hard working (!) he is getting top grades in the subject. I put this down to the early work with Muriel.

My daughter has been going to Muriel’s classes since a young age (she’s seven now) and it has been an excellent way for her to pick up the language and develop what she is already learning with us at home. Being in a class with other children, some of whom are learning from scratch, some of whom have some French already, has been great in unlocking the tongue and making the language come to life for her. We are really grateful and are now finding our daughter is really developing her confidence in a lovely way.

Muriel is very professional, and passionate about teaching French. She's patient to the kids and has related games in the lesson to make learning more fun. I would recommend Muriel if you'd like to learn French, she's an excellent teacher!

Muriel has taught French to our 9 year old son Ethan for the last 4 years. She is very encouraging, and plans lessons well. She works at the pace of the students, including in mixed ability groups. She is very punctual and reliable, and always has a smile. I would thoroughly recommend her.

I have been learning French with Muriel for over six years. I was a complete beginner with no understanding of grammar. Within three years, I was able speak, read and write French. I continue having lessons with Muriel to improve my spoken French and my listening and also because I love chatting to her. Muriel is super friendly and explains things simply. She tailors her lessons to support my weaknesses, and is always positive and encouraging. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Muriel is a fabulous tutor. My son has been learning French with her since he was very young. She has given him confidence and he has learnt lots with her. I’m very impressed how quickly he has picked up the more tricky aspects of grammar. I wish she’d been my French teacher!
