About Chantal
Bonjour! I was born in the South of France and got a Teaching Certification from Alliance Francaise. I've been teaching French for 20 yrs in various countries and online for the past 2 yrs.
Students enjoy working with me because I make the lessons easy and fun and help them become confident fast. I enjoy teaching children as well as adults of all ages.

I TEACH YOU REAL FRENCH: there is often a difference between French taught in books and the way it is actually spoken. I tell you the way we actually use the language so that you can sound "real" when you express yourself and so you can understand when people reply fast.
I believe it is important to learn the backbone of a language first: how to ask and answer questions, using verbs in all tenses. I call this the skeleton of the language, then comes the joints: the structures, those little "bits" that give some articulation in a more complex sentence. The rest is the flesh: the pure vocabulary.
I am the kind of teacher who teaches you how to speak from day 1, without wasting the time of the lesson on pure vocabulary which you can memorise from any dictionary by yourself. I teach you to put things together in the right way so it makes sense.
I use a lot of analogies and mnemonics so that it is easier for you to grasp and remember and most important so that you feel you are having fun and you are motivated to improve each time!
