About Mariya
Hello, I really enjoy teaching languages and I hope to pass my passion on to other people. Currently I am a secondary school French teacher, preparing students for their GCSE examination. I have been teaching in a secondary school for 4 years and I used to tutoring on a one-to-one basis, working with primary school pupils, focusing on developing their speaking skills and cultural awareness. I have a Bachelor degree in French and obtained my PGCE qualification (level 7) at Greenwich University. My lessons are well differentiated, aiming to meet my students' needs and different way of learning. I plan my lessons carefully, incorporating different types of short activities in order to engage my students, and help them to reach their full potential. In the meanwhile, I ensure the learning objectives of the lesson are shared with the student(s) so they know what is expected of them, thus instructional strategies and activities are selected to ensure that students progress towards meeting these objectives.
