The first level, I am building “Communicative Competence”: Each time I teach a new student or new class, then, my methods will likely need to adjust in order to have the most impact. Full Master Scholarship at "Institut National Supérieur de Recherche et de Formation pour les Jeunes Handicapés et Les Enseignements Adaptés" (INSHEA) in Suresnes, France. The focus of the one-year intensive program of study was to respond to the need for universal accessibility for young people with disabilities. Through this scholarship, a comprehensive professional training was provided to be able to assist in developing the practice of inclusion throughout the life course of young people with disabilities. This specialty focused on being able to advise on the issue of facilitating accessibility within schools, cultural and leisure activities as well as to be able to assist young people with disabilities in their transitions to employment. This master’s degree provided the foundation for responding to the real needs of people involved, the voluntary sector, and businesses, local and regional authorities in building inclusive communities.

Emerging Leaders Scholarship for the 38th Annual Child Welfare Symposium. This symposium and scholarship was sponsored by Joint Council based out of California, USA. The symposium provided training and capacity building among young professionals to promote profound social change, enabling children and adolescents to better protect themselves against abuse, ensuring that they have a voice within their communities, and that violence is not ignored.

A full scholarship to attend “The Work of The Hague Conference on Private International Law and its Relevance for the Caribbean Region and Bermuda – an Interactive Training Seminar”. This scholarship and invitation were provided by the Government of Bermuda, in collaboration with the Permanent Bureau of The Hague Conference on Private International Law, and with the support of the Commonwealth Secretariat in London. As a representative of community-based organizations in Haiti, the purpose of participation in this program was for the convening of ideas and applications of The Hague Conventions among experts in family and child protection law. This scholarship allowed for the examination of issues related to the selected Hague Conventions and an active exchange of information and experiences with other Caribbean states.

The grant of Open society foundation covers the first year of my doctoral program. This doctorate program train researchers by providing them with an in-depth understanding of a particular subject or of a broader field of research. The researchers activities for which funding are required are related to the overall structure of the Ph.D. program of interest.
