About Julia

Hello! I'm Julia, a multilingual university student based in Vancouver, Canada, with a passion for the French language and Francophone cultures.

I'm currently completing a bilingual Bachelor's degree at Simon Fraser University through the French Cohort Program in Public and International Affairs, an interdisciplinary program combining political science, French, and history. I also completed an academic exchange at Sciences Po Paris, where I studied entirely in French.

I hold the DALF C1 certification, demonstrating advanced proficiency in French. Having studied in Francophone educational environments in both Canada and France, I have developed a strong understanding of French grammar, vocabulary, academic writing, and communication.

Beyond my studies, I have professional experience in French-English translation and have been actively involved in Vancouver's Francophone community through volunteering and cultural events.

As someone who has learned and used French across different countries and educational systems, I understand the challenges of mastering a language and the importance of patient, encouraging guidance.

I'm excited to share my knowledge and help students build their French skills and confidence, one lesson at a time!

About the lesson

My French lessons are tailored to your individual goals, learning style, and current level, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to strengthen your existing skills.

I offer support with French grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading comprehension, writing, and conversation practice. Whether you're learning French for school, work, travel, or personal interest, we'll focus on building practical skills that you can confidently use in everyday situations.

My approach emphasizes clear explanations, interactive exercises, and real-life examples rather than memorization alone. Having studied in French in both Canada and France, I can also introduce you to different Francophone cultures and expressions.

Lessons are structured around your needs and progress at a comfortable pace. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and gradually becoming more confident communicating in French!
