About Heeseo
Hi! I’m Heeseo, a native Korean speaker from South Korea and currently a university student at the University of Queensland. Having lived and studied in different countries, I know that learning a language is not only about memorizing grammar and vocabulary. Being able to understand how people actually speak and express themselves makes learning much more enjoyable and useful. That’s why I’d love to help you discover the Korean that people really use in everyday conversations, K-dramas, K-pop, and Korean culture. Whether you want to chat more naturally with Korean friends, understand your favorite drama without relying completely on subtitles, or simply learn Korean for fun, I’d love to help you become more comfortable and confident using Korean!

My lessons focus on natural, everyday Korean rather than complicated grammar. I want to help you speak and understand Korean the way it is actually used in real life. We can learn through your favourite K-pop songs, K-dramas, or other Korean content you enjoy. If there is a song lyric, drama scene, or expression you have always wanted to understand, bring it to class and we can explore what it means, when Koreans actually use it, and how you can use it naturally in conversation. My lessons are flexible and personalised to your interests and goals, with a strong focus on speaking, listening, pronunciation, and useful everyday expressions. Most importantly, I want Korean to feel like something you can actually use and enjoy, not just something you study from a textbook!
