About Lucie

Bonjour! I'm Lucie, a native French speaker born and raised in France. I’ve just moved to the USA, and I’m excited to share my language and culture here.
I’m a very patient and understanding tutor, and I always make sure students feel comfortable, supported, and confident. I know how it feels to learn a new language, so I explain things simply and calmly.
If you’re looking for someone who listens, adapts, and truly cares about your progress, I’d be happy to help you on your French journey.

About the lesson

I was born and raised in France, and since I’ve studied languages myself, I know what it feels like to start from zero. I’m a very patient tutor, and I always take the time each student needs to feel relaxed and confident.

I’ve just arrived in the USA, and I’m really excited to share my language and culture here.

For me, speaking is the foundation of any language, so every lesson includes plenty of oral practice, no matter your level. I encourage students to talk as much as possible, even as beginners, because mistakes are normal and regular speaking quickly builds confidence.

I work with all ages; young learners in elementary and middle school, high school and university students, and of course adults. I adapt to every learning style and make sure you feel comfortable and supported.

If you’re taking French in school or at university, I can help with everything related to your classes. This includes homework support, understanding lessons, practicing for oral presentations, preparing for exams or tests, and going deeper into the material you study in class. I can also help you review what you’ve already learned or get ahead of your program if you want to progress more quickly.
My goal is to help you feel more confident and make your classes easier and clearer.

If you want to learn French outside of a school program, whether for pleasure or a personal goal, I can create a fully personalized learning plan based on your level and interests. This can include conversation, grammar, culture, travel preparation, or everyday communication.

I also help with specific personal or professional projects, such as preparing for interviews, getting ready for relocation, or working on your resume, cover letter, and any other documents you may need for work or future plans in France.

Before each session, I prepare a written lesson support created just for you, based on your goals, level, and what you want to improve. It can include vocabulary, short explanations, examples, and small exercises related to the grammar point of the day. I send it by email before the lesson so you can have it in front of you while we work together. My goal is always to offer lessons that are clear, personalized, and adapted to your needs, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

French is a language I truly love, and it would be a real pleasure for me to help you discover its beauty and feel confident using it for whatever goals you have.
