About Jake
I graduated from St. Anne's College, University of Oxford, where I read Experimental Psychology & Philosophy. Presently, I study a master's in Cognitive Neuroscience at University College London. I previously worked as a new technologies reporter at Verdict, City of London. I also have experience writing and performing in theatre. I have been tutoring 11+, 13+, 16+, and school/ university entrance exams and interviews for three years online and in-person, primarily with Hilltop Academy, Oxford. Many of my students achieved places at Eton, Westminster, Cheltenham Ladies', Wycombe Abbey, Harrow, Radley and other top schools. I also have experience supporting students with successful applications to Oxford, Cambridge, and Yale.

As well as offering support with 11+, 13+, 16+ entrance exams (Maths, English, General) and the TSA, I also offer sessions on interview preparation. The content depends on the type of interview and the needs of the student, but typical sessions can include a mock interview, discussions on how to answer both the technical and personal questions, researching interesting topics to discuss in the interview, discussing how to present well through body language and vocally, and working on personal statements.
