About Rida
Hi, I’m Rida! I’m a Computing and IT student at The Open University, and I have always had a strong interest in Maths. I studied Maths at A Level and have always enjoyed the subject, especially helping others understand new concepts and build their confidence.
I have always enjoyed supporting others with their learning and seeing the progress they make with the right guidance and encouragement. Through volunteering in schools and providing private tutoring, I have had the opportunity to work with primary school children and support them with their Maths skills.
I want to teach because I believe every child learns differently, and I want to help students develop a positive attitude towards Maths. My aim is to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace.

I am a friendly and supportive Maths tutor currently studying Computing and IT at The Open University. I have experience supporting primary school children through both volunteering in schools and providing private tutoring.
Through my volunteering experience, I have worked with children in a learning environment, helping them develop their understanding, confidence, and enjoyment of Maths. I have also provided private tutoring, where I adapt my lessons to each student’s individual needs and current ability.
My lessons are tailored to support students whether they need extra help understanding topics, building confidence, practising key skills, or preparing for school assessments. I focus on creating a positive and comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and improve.
I explain concepts step-by-step and use a patient, supportive approach to help each child make progress and develop a stronger understanding of Maths.
