About Maisie
I've recently completed a BSc in Mathematics at the University of Manchester and am looking to tutor keen students in my chosen subjects!
My teaching style is incredibly flexible and catered to the student in question, but focuses on building their confidence to stretch themselves within the subject. During my degree, I studied a module on Mathematics Education and learnt what techniques work best for certain learners and certain topics, and am keen to share this knowledge.
I'm not a typical maths tutor, in the sense that I am quite chatty and outgoing, and really want to bring the excitement I feel for maths to every single lesson.
I have a lot of experience working with younger children, working part time in a nursery for 2 years and volunteering alongside KS3 students. However, having only just graduated, my knowledge does extend up to degree level.
