About Jonathan
I am an experienced violinist and violin teacher based in the GTA area. I am a music graduate in University of Michigan and Northwestern University. I have performed in professional orchestras and pop ensembles around the world in Asia, Europe, North America and even South America!

Music is the common language of the world. As a teacher, I strive to help my students to learn this language in order to connect with others. In my own musical journey, the most precious things I have earned are all the musician friends I have met and all the experiences playing with them. Therefore, I highly recommend all my students to join music groups , such as orchestras, chamber music, bands and perform as much as possible to other people.
I do encourage my students to participate in reasonable amount of exams and competitions, which can serve as mini goals and checkpoints in the music learning journey, as well as building confidence and perseverance.
