About Maisy
I’m a friendly, fully qualified English teacher with seven years of experience teaching KS3 to KS5, including GCSE, IGCSE, and IB. I bring lots of energy to my sessions and believe learning should feel supportive, challenging, and confidence-boosting. Alongside my classroom experience, I’ve also held pastoral roles—including Head of Year—so I understand how to support students not just academically, but emotionally too. Whether your child needs help catching up or is ready to be stretched, I’ll tailor each session to them!

I’m a fully qualified English teacher with seven years of experience teaching KS3, KS4, and KS5. I specialise in GCSE/IGCSE English Language and Literature as well as IBDP English Language and Literature A. I have taught both in the UK and abroad at a Tier 1 International school. I have prior experience as an SEND Teaching Assistant (before training to teach). I also have extensive experience with Pastoral Care. If your child needs support to build confidence, fill learning gaps, or be stretched and challenged, I offer tailored, one-to-one sessions designed around their specific needs. I’m also happy to liaise with their classroom teachers to ensure alignment and maximise progress. I will make the lessons fun and engaging by getting to know your child, and what works for them! I offer both online and in-person lessons. I’m based in Bagshot and can travel locally. I’m available on weeknights and weekends, and I hold a full, up-to-date DBS certificate.
