About Jonjo

I love teaching French and have been doing so in a school in Chelsea for the last four years, where I am Acting Head of Modern Foreign Languages. I trained with Teach First and the Teach First Leadership Development programme for which I received an outstanding rating. I hold European accreditation (DELF/DALF level C1) from Université Montpellier III where I studied for a year after teaching in a college, Lycée Jules Verne, Amiens. In addition, I am trained in TEEP (Teacher Effectiveness Enhancement Programme) and I am working towards my SSAT Award for Middle Leaders. I regularly attend training concerning special educational needs and have much experience working with students with differing abilities in the classroom. I have also completed training regarding the 13+ and 11+ common entrance examinations. I am happy to help students of all abilities and enjoy making lessons enjoyable whilst delivering sustained and rapid progress for my students. I use a range of techniques and technologies to inspire and build confidence, adjusting my pitch to suit individual needs. DBS checked. QTS. NQT+1. Perfect! Excellent Teacher
My son needed a confidence boost before his oral exam so had 2 lessons with Jonjo - he was very happy with his teaching and enthusiastic friendly manner and feels very confident now. He has had tutors before and has never been so happy after his lesson.
