About Martin

I am a dental student as King College London, who achieved an A* in Mathematics, and currently a Maths tutor. I have been very good at Math since my school days and have always scored the top grades. I have good experience of teaching at a Private School as well.

For GCSE and A level preparation, we will follow the syllabus of your particular Exam board (Edexcel, OCR, AQA, CIE etc...). Many of my students are performing very well in their schools, among the toppers. My students got the top scores, Grade 9 in GCSE.

About the lesson

My academic career has allowed me to become a natural talent for teaching, since I have learnt how to tackle one problem at a time, and have the ability to provide examples that force students to think outside the box in order to truly allow my students to grasp an excellent understanding and explanation.

My teaching methodology is based on two main things: skill development and repetition. Initially, I structure the most suitable method tailored to the curriculum, after which, I adapt those ideas to the specific needs of the student based on their way of thinking and grasp of concepts. Second, I like to develop that through active recall and spaced repetition, where I can challenge students with a combination of resources such as worksheets and past papers. Last, I like to listen to the student's needs and initially go over something they may be struggling with, in order to target specific areas a student may want to catch up on, whilst still keeping on top of the general subject.

I can teach from primary, GCSE and A-Level.

I am happy to give the first lesson for free.
