About Elizabeth
I have been working as a tutor since February 2016, working mainly with Primary school aged children, however I have also worked previously with pupils aged up to 16. I am a fully qualified teacher and have been a class teacher for 3 years.

I enjoy making my lessons as fun and engaging for pupils as possible, for example using games such as 'Shut the Box', as well as using items such as coins, bricks and fraction cubes to enhance learning (I provide these). I understand that each pupil has very different goals and I also have a thorough understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curricula. Using both of these together, I can create plans to work either short or long term towards these goals, for example success in exams or just building confidence around mathematics in general.
I've currently got a few available slots throughout the week and I am willing to go up to around five miles (from central Barnsley) to teach at your own home. I work on a one to one basis; however, I have worked in the past with up to four students at once so feel free to allow brothers and sisters to work in the same session. In cases such as these, each child will be treated as an individual with their own goals to work up to, and therefore I charge an extra £10/session per student.
